History
Monongahela is situated
on the Monongahela River and is located approximately 17 miles SE of
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our community has a rich history which dates
back over 232 years, making us 7 years older than the United States.
We pride our selves on our beautiful historic
buildings, which line Main Street, our pleasant neighborhoods
and our small town atmosphere...
Events
There is always something
to do in Monongahela. From January through December, you will
find an event worth attending. The Spring kicks the festivities
off with an assortment of events such as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt
and the Citywide flea market. Next comes the Summer time fun:
Strawberry Festival, Church Festivals, Victorian Tea, Fourth of July
Fireworks, Concerts in the Park, Firemen's Carnival and Kennywood Day.
The Fall and Winter bring us a Pumpkin Festival, Halloween Parade, Ghost
walks, Covered Bridge Festival, and to top off the year, Dickens in
the Park.
