History
Monongahela is situated on the Monongahela River and is located approximately 17 miles SE of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our community has a rich history which dates back over 232 years, making us 7 years older than the United States. We pride our selves on our beautiful historic buildings, which line Main Street, our pleasant neighborhoods and our small town atmosphere...

Events
There is always something to do in Monongahela.  From January through December, you will find an event worth attending.  The Spring kicks the festivities off with an assortment of events such as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and the Citywide flea market.  Next comes the Summer time fun:  Strawberry Festival, Church Festivals, Victorian Tea, Fourth of July Fireworks, Concerts in the Park, Firemen's Carnival and Kennywood Day.  The Fall and Winter bring us a Pumpkin Festival, Halloween Parade, Ghost walks, Covered Bridge Festival, and to top off the year, Dickens in the Park.

This is just an example of the many fun, interesting and exciting events planned year-round in Monongahela.  To find out exact dates and times...
